Steve Berhow
President
Steve has over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry. He started his career in 1985 at AngioMedics, where he developed a thorough understanding of devices utilizing balloons, stents, and delivery systems for percutaneous access and treatment of diseased vessels. After AngioMedics, Steve moved to Everest Medical, the first company in the US to primarily focus on developing Bipolar Electro-Surgical devices for minimally invasive surgeries using Bipolar RF energy.
Steve is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Physiology. Over the last 20+ years Steve has founded 5 medical device based companies in the US, Asia, and Europe. He is the holder of numerous patents in the medical field and is always seeking to help create new devices and technologies used for the advancement of medicine throughout the world.
Corey Teigen, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Teigen joined Access Point Technologies in 2020, serving as Chief Medical Officer and a board member. Prior to joining Access Point, Dr. Teigen, a board certified vascular and interventional radiologist, was Chairman of Interventional Radiology at Sanford Health, Fargo, North Dakota for 25 years. He has authored numerous publications and has been involved in the development of multiple interventional devices for the treatment of vascular and other diseases. Dr. Teigen received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with distinction and did his radiology residency at the Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota. He completed his fellowship at the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute, Miami, Florida
Anthony Caforio
VP Strategy, New Product & Business Development
Anthony brings more than 30 years of experience in the medical device industry where he enjoyed significant commercial, biotechnology industry and product development success with a focus on heart failure, advanced heart failure, cardiac rhythm management and electrophysiology therapies.
With a demonstrated track record of success in the global cardiovascular and medical device space, specific to areas relating to commercial sales, R&D, market and business modeling, he will lead all aspects of Access Point Technologies worldwide sales and marketing efforts. His appointment follows the company’s recent change to an internal sales and marketing team, which will enable the acceleration of global market development and further expansion into new therapy areas.
He was most recently at Impulse Dynamics, where he held roles of increasing responsibility while working with their advanced heart failure devices, running the FIX-HF-5 series of trials through successful FDA approval while building and leading diverse, global teams spanning
clinical, sales, marketing and customer support. Prior to Impulse, Anthony had a successful career in the cardiac rhythm, electrophysiology and heart failure business with Ela Medical, Sorin CRM and others, where he held various leadership positions.
Tony Hyk
Chief Financial Officer
Tony is a commercial operations and strategy leader with over 20 years of financial, operational and strategic experience. Prior to Access Point Technologies, he was with TheraTec, ACIST Medical Systems, Inc, a pioneering interventional and diagnostic technology company with a portfolio of advanced products and global revenue of $200M, where he led global commercial operations and strategy. Prior to these roles, Mr. Hyk led the financial operations for Sorin Group as well as Upsher Smith Laboratories.
Mr. Hyk holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Management from St. John’s University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.
